[Anglosphere] What do you think of the Community?

  • Hi all

I have some questions for you, and I do hope you will answer them.

What do you think about the Community?

Is there anything you like more than other? Threads, part of forum, contest?

If you were given the chance to change or add anything, what would that be?

    Kind regards,

    sommerfuglen

  • I think now we have a new Anglosphere domain it would be nice to know a bit about the team managing it.

For example, perhaps the Moderators could all introduce themselves and tell us a bit about themselves? I see from the staff list that we have two Smods and five Mods, as well as our two CMs but we don't really know anything about most of them if they were originally from a different one of the three domains from where we as users were. Hope that makes sense?

  • Unlike the previous CM, the new ones supply me with hearts and kisses, so can't really complain. Lovely ladies. :P

    The rest is fine.....ish. :/

  • Dear all.

There was not many who responded here.

So I will ask again, hoping to get some more answers.

  • I'm relatively new to the forum community, but it seems to be growing recently.

I like the suggestion threads, they help improve the game and also help us learn from each other about strategy and game mechanics.

  • Sjrg4 , you are thinking about the threads Game Suggestions and Forum Suggestions?

You wrote "they help improve the game and also help us learn from each other..."

Are there other things you miss on forum specifically?

Anything you wish we have added? Something that can help even more?

  • Yes, I meant the game suggestions sections. The most important thing there is communication and feedback from TG and the devs, which has noticeably improved since the LoT Summit :)

  • There used to be a pinned thread on the server information that had the dates for all currently running servers in one place, updated as and when new servers started and ended. Would it be possible to have this back?

There used to be a lot of things on the Forum thats missing nowadays ;(

  • my memory is too short to remember the things i liked about the old forum, but this forum is not user friendly imo, i still can't always find the things i want, and i have no recollection of where the filters are, so if i want to find info on a balkan server i'm playing i need to use an incognito window.... I did suggest months ago that the forum should have a proper help section where it tells you how to find your way around the forum, and if the help section has been implemented then i can't find it which means it isn't doing its job

  • If you look at the top of the page, it'll actually tell you what subsection you're in.

For instance, this thread is under:

    Travian: Legends Forum/TRAVIAN: LEGENDS/General Discussions

The Forum User Guide on the other hand is under:

Travian: Legends Forum/NEWS, ANNOUNCEMENTS AND GUIDELINES/News/Community Guidelines & Team Information

    EDIT:

If you change your search parameters to Threads, this is the result:

    You can find this here:

  • ok, so that long explanation on how to even search for a help guide in an obscure thread (under news?) just kinda confirms my point, that the forum isn't exactly user friendly lol

  • =\

There are 2 places I'd look just by going by the main screen; either "Guides and Tutorials" or "Community Guidelines & Team Information".

It's a pinned post under the latter which is where I'd personally go in order to find a staff member to help anyhow.
