False positive in bot detection system

After the holiday break, we are opening again the suggestion channel on Public Suggestions Board that gets updated on weekly basis.

The process is the following:
🔸 First, discuss your suggestion with the community in the #💬│suggestions-discussions channel
🔸 Once the suggestion is final and contains all the details post it in the #🎮│suggestions channel
🔸 A team member will review the suggestion and either give feedback or add the suggestion to the #📋│suggestions-vote channel
🔸 Around once per week the voted suggestions are evaluated by Game Design, a note is added on the Trello Board and they are moved to the most suitable list within the board.

Please note:
🔹 Suggestions may take up to 4 days to be processed (depending on the team availability)
🔹 Do NOT place more than one suggestion per message in the #🎮│suggestions channel

    In the past few weeks, there have been some complaints from different game worlds regarding bans connected with the bot detection system. In particular, the complains were related to 2 specific behavior called oasis-scanner and automatic-adventure.


    After realizing that the detections were in majority of cases false positive, our Rule Enforcement Team got in touch with the Bot Detection Team which immediately worked on adjusting the system.


    All the players which were flagged as false-positive got unbanned as soon as possible and their accounts were compensated properly.


    We're aware that these bans have a great impact on the gameplay, especially on the Codex Victoria game worlds, not only for the affected players but also for the whole alliance/confederacy, resulting in losing victory points and regional power.


    We are now working on evaluating the possible options which will allow in the future to reduce that impact these situations may cause. We promise to come back to you with an update on the topic in the near future. In case of false positive bans decision has been made to grant victory points to the alliances, where those bans resulted in losing of regional power.


    We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and frustration this situation has given to you and will do all that is in our power to avoid such a situation in the future.
