    it’s time for a big challenge!


    Have you ever wanted to design the concept for a new building? Now the time has come to show us your game knowledge and your skills. You have the chance to change the game and propose a new building, every cool concept will be considered to be implemented in the Annual Special 2020.

    Tribe Specific Constraints

    There are some constrains you need to keep into consideration when thinking about a new building. First, the identity of tribes should not be changed in general. A good suggestion enhances the tribe’s specific traits. Which means for example, you should not propose a building for Huns to strength their defense, they are not thought to be a defense tribe, so such a building won’t fit the requirements.


    Secondly, the current tribe specific buildings either affect the village they are built in (e.g. Trapper) or the whole account (e.g. Brewery). The additional new tribe specific buildings should affect the other way around. For more details please check table below.

    Winners chosen:

    Every building proposal that fits the requirements will get 50 Gold.

    You can submit only ONE building and the proposal needs to be original.

    Adjustments to proposals from other users or already existing buildings
    won’t be accepted.

    Additional reward:

    If a building is picked to be implemented in the 2020 Annual Special, the user who proposed will receive an additional 600 Gold Voucher.

    You’ll have to wait until July to know though.

  • So, I have actually few points to be made here. Maybe it's not quite what Travian is looking for with this competition.


    First of all, if they are thinking about adding a new special building to all of the tribes, we have a problem. There's all these new buildings being added to the game, but guess what has not changed? The amount of empty building slots in the villages. So instead of adding all these different buildings, how about the following:


    Gauls have by far the worst tribe specific building in the game. It's a known fact. So, my proposition starts with 2 changes:


    - Make trapper available to all of the tribes (just like crannies, maybe give gauls some extra trap capacity?). Maybe balance it to have bigger requirements or make traps more costly to avoid ruining the beginning of the game.


    - Tune down or remove the added Tournament Square bonus. It could be the old 10% per level or maybe 15% per level max. The increase was probably done with the old 801x801 maps in mind, but with these small 401x401 maps it can make things bit too chaotic.


    And as Gauls' thing is their speed.. With the above stated changes, Gauls' new tribe specific building could be a Tournament Square booster. If rest of the tribes would go back to that 10% / level bonus from each level of Tournament Square, give Gauls a building which they can build in capital which would boost their Tournament Square bonus up to that 20% per level and give them their speed advantage back.


    - Name.. Central Arena?

    - Prerequisites: Rally point lvl 20( + tournament square 10)

    - Capped at lvl 10, 1% extra boost in tournament squares in the account per level. Can be only built in capital.

    - Cost wise maybe around the old brewery, 300-400k in total?

    - CP/pop could be around the same ~20-30 both in total

    - Building time around the same as upgrading TS 0 -> 10, I dont see the point of making the upgrading of buildings last ages.

  • Just in case for ever playing again, I'll take this gelbs from hanging.


    Teuton:

    Name: Steel factory

    Function: Add steel to your rams making them way more effective on every lvl (becouse teuton rammers are so weak at this moment compared on other tribes ;))

    - Increase 1% on every lvl (max. 20%):teu07:

    - (or maybe training speed bonus to workshop same 1% per lvl)


    Cost: about same as Horse drinking through

    CP: about same as above

    Build time: about same as above

  • I would like to have a Relocation Hut, that can transfer your city and resource fields to 5 squares away at lvl 5, 10 squares away at lvl 10, 15 squares away at lvl 15 and 20 squares away at lvl 20. An easy way to move closer to your alliance, and maybe escape being farmed. This hut should be possible to build in all your cities and by all races.

  • What information is needed in order for your proposal to be considered:

    • Name of the building - Raider's Hut
    • Function/Description - Increases 10k ongoing attack limit. If you have 10k ongoing attacks, new raids can be only sent from cities that has this building. This would be great, because in current meta romans and gallies shines in mid/late raiding, and teuton (Clubs) kinda lost their nature, as raiding is limited.
    • Behavior at the different levels (if applicable) - 5% possible outgoing attacks increased on each level, in example at level 10 the new cap is 15k, and in level 20 its 20k.


    What details are nice to have:

    • Costs per level : Same as tournament square
    • Prerequisites: Level 20 rally point and level 15 tournament square
    • CP increase per level: Same as tournament square
    • Build time per level: Same as tournament square
    • I Know that most likely this will not be introduced to the game, as it would be used just by "HC players", but just threw it here as a quick reminder that 10k limit is <X (Would love it tho)
