  • Don't be afraid to invest your Heroe's first points into strength only and don't wait for your hero to recover before going on adventures again. At the beginning of a game world you can easily afford reviving your hero with your resources. With as many points allocated to resource production as possible he is going to make you more than his revival costs. His revival doesn't take long neither and he will return to you with 100% health. Just make sure, when you let him die, to not just having spent all your resources since he is not going to produce you any in his time of death.

When your warehouse/granary is about to overflow and you don't want resources to get wasted, you can always (with a decent upgraded marketplace and trade office) free up some storage by putting up offers in a 1 to 2 ratio, accesible to everyone or for alliance only. These will likely not be accepted and thus providing you with free extra storage.

As a defence player don't be afraid to mix things up if you're getting bored:

    • Play something quirky like all gallic horse defence for rapid response times for your team.
    • Play teuton defence, spears are needed more than ever in what feels like a calvary heavy world.
    • Build your first hamville (Hammer+Anvil) and get stuck in clearing the natars or hitting your enemies back
    • Don't just build a few Catapults for team wide fakes, but maybe build 200 or so with a small 1k offence. Then join in with your alliance offence calls, pick your targets wisely and be a pain, damage the enemies smaller villages etc

It is a great game, don't be afraid to have fun even if it means making a few mistakes!

If you are newbie or going to defensive play, just focus upgrading main building to lvl 10, 3 crannies, warehouse and granary to lvl 7.

Just these 4 buildings are enough until beginner's protection ends.

Then be sure to lvl 7 all the resources except cropland.

Now you can start building market and residence until you can have 2nd village. After that make the troops all you want..

For hero stats. The first 3 lvls are enough for resources then put all to fighting strength next time you levelup..

    Happy gaming!

To have a good start early-game you should study your neighborhood and allways check surrounding reports... if there is a bigger fish cleaning oasis and players u can let him do the hard work and u can go just after the honey till u become the big fish :). The early u have spies the efficient u'll be because information is more important than force in early game , also check marketplace for nongold players when u searching for new farms. Never attack without spying early game or raiding before with low number of troups a targhet u don't have info about.

Mess with the best die like the rest professional gamers league:D

I doubt this is true. While you get a lot of resources through the quests and yes, you can revive the hero, those resources that you spend could be used wiser. Losing your hero early on is only good if you raid a lot and make it worth. For others, itยดs disaster.

It is! That's the math! And I don't raid neither! I allocate lots of my Heroe's points to resource production, as you can see in the screenshot. Reviving a 1st level Gaul Hero costs, for example, merely 240, 380, 270 and 160 res plus a loss of the heroe's production of 1 to 2 hours. You would loose a lot more waiting for your hero to recover before continuing going on adventures. You would also otherwise take longer leveling up your hero for getting more points you can allocate to more res production too.

Your hero does not die so easily early in the game from adventures. And especially not now that it gets 100% health after each level up. Of course you also have to spend resources on fighting strength.

  • Throw as many parties as your can for culture points, and get your alliance to invest in the philosophy bonus. Use your farm list & be weary of active players. If you can figure out your enemies offline time it could win you the game.

  • When you have multiple villages and there is enemies nearby, use tablets of law on your non capital villages, it can go up to 125% loyalty and it may be what saves you when they try to conquer your villages, it can give more time to defend.

    never set loyalty to 125%

If you want to play as a pro you should set it to 124%. in case multiple chifing waves are coming and there is chance of losing village. By this trick you can insert tablet of laws

Dont forget to set your hero to hide during battles inorder to stay alive and use tablets

  • Regulary watch the surounding reports, they give useful informations about your neighboors, attacks that they suffered, oasis conquered and at what time, these informations can be the base to you to start planning his destruction

  • For beginners and experienced players too, spy research on every village is a clever strategy / is cheap and a moderate number trainend on each village will ensure an vital resource in case of loosing spy dedicated one.

You donยดt need to research in every village, just reinforce Scouts in every village. For beginners, that saves plenty of resources.
