  • Later in the game when catapults are rolling and alliances are at war, the worst thing you can do is slam your main offensive forces into a huge anvil. If you are building a WW hammer, save it for the WW! Safely raiding farms with your troops is fine, but build a second (smaller) hammer for alliance warfare. Here are some tips to protect your "disposable" hammer and get the most out of it:

    1. Fakes! Send dozens of attacks with 20 troops and a catapult. This will disguise your real attack. If you are sending multiple waves, ensure each of your fakes has multiple waves. If these extra troops divide the defenses, they are worth far more than their cost to produce. Get your alliance mates involved and time the fakes to arrive near the same landing time so defenses can't be re-positioned.

    2. Don't go for the jugular. An attack on a secondary or tertiary target is much more likely to be assumed to be a fake. These attacks can be devastating and your hammer will come home in tact to be used again and again.

    3. Watch for the follow-home. Good players will often calculate the arrival time back at your village and send a swift cavalry force to wipe it out. Make sure you stack your defenses in advance of your troops arrival so that you are not left scrambling.

  • Not a veteran but

    1. stay humble and be kind in communications and have fun

    2. its a war game expect to be attacked

    3. its a war game make troops villagers don't fight

    4. in the beginning lookup what you need to settle your second village and focus on that as its important for your growth there are plenty of guides to help you. And if you take point 1 to hearth you can always, always ask anyone for help! (just remember its a war game! people want what you have!)

  • You self proclaim Pro status and Don't use GOLD?

Don't forget start on every server until you find one where everything just "falls" into place... lol. Man, I just MAKE every server work for me...

  • Clear oasis as frequently as you can and farm them frequently.

25% oasis gives you 4k res, while 50%(or 25% + 25%) gives you 8k res. I have found the best way to do so is send 2k offensive troops with hero. Your losses will usually be less that your bounty.

Its a great way to earn hero experience and attacker points as well, and trust me you can win an attackers medal by just clearing oasis for a week.

You can have a very high level hero and a pretty profile if you do this often.

  • When chiefing as a gaul, make sure you use at least 1 ram when chiefing enemy

(speed of chief is higher and when attack is spotted in time it will be obvious that it are chiefs)

  • This tip is Roman-specific for early game and applies primarily to active raiders using a farm list.

While the Teutons and Huns get off to an early start on raiding, you can catch up quickly by leveling your EIs to 4 once you have 100 or more. At this point, a single EI can raid an inactive village without dying, so you can effectively double your raiding income from small inactive villages. This is one case where the calculators showing when it is best to upgrade vs. train more troops are dead wrong.

upgrading EI to lvl 4 first and be sure to have 5 equites legati as well before producing the 1st unit of EI ;)

building 100 units is to expensive, when already lvl 4 you only need 50 to send out same number of raids :)

use the Legati non stop to scan more villages on walls+resources to add more villages to the raidable list, just empty them with the EI you already have by sending on scout reports untill lvl 4 is finished and you can use the EI on 1 horse raids...

    construction of 100 EI = 140.000 resources, plus 28.000 for lvl 4 afterwards --> total 168.000 resources

    lvl 4 costs = 28.000 resources + 50 EI = 70.000 --> total 98.000 resources

you save 70.000 resources early game to use for more units or anything you'd like

  • Do you know what's the safest place in the server?

specially when you have your first settlers which cost you a lot, you need a place to keep them safe until they're ready to go.

this place is the Gaul's Trapper

    How it is done

First you must have a Gaul friend which you trust

2nd, you send your settler in a raid attack to your friend's village near bye,

The settler will get caught in the trapper

Then, when your settlers are ready you ask politely from your friend to release them for you

If you are a Gaul yourself, you can do the same process sending your settlers from your 2nd village to your 1st same way

    WARN

If you send your settler in a normal attack they might die, so be sure it's a raid attack

    Enjoy

I will send my first settlers from v2 to my v1 then so I can finally settle my 2nd village. :/

Ah shit, here we go again...

  • I did it before. That was awesome πŸ‘ŒπŸΌ

  • peculiarpaladin from latesummer1x special

A 15/9 cropper :crop: is an amazing village to have especially as your 2nd village BUT it is not always the best option for you.

There is always a rush to settle :gau10: the best cropper possible in the first few weeks of a server and people go to great lengths to find a 150% 15cr and it's great for them but if you do not plan to make an insanely large army :teu03::teu06: based off of one village, you CAN skip the rush and settle a village closer to your spawn. This will allow you to build up your 2nd and subsequent villages much faster while also allowing you mobility :rep05: incase you need to rush to defend your new villages as they tend to be close by compared to a cropper you found 50 squares away.

I know the "pros" might not agree with this logic but the reality is that there are limited croppers on a server and if your server is heavily packed (like the latesummer special), I think you are better off settling a second village near your spawn and starting your journey there. There are lots of pros and cons to selecting either strategy so remember to carefully think and pick the one that suits your gameplay style the most! ^^
