The litter and books in front of the exit door would not have allowed the door to open unless swept aside. the thief could not pass and then replace the books.
Inside job...
door swings in how are books against door if robber left through door
The thief could not leave the room, the books are thrown just behind the door, if that door were open the books would be stacked on the left side of the door, upon realizing this the general decided to arrest him, for giving him bad references from where the thief had escaped. Obviously, he was suspected for that, for giving bad indications where the thief "had escaped."

Those books are stacked blocking the door,
The dolor opens inward, for that reason it was obvious that he was lying

There are books in front of the door which is impossible unless the librarian had put them there after the door was closed

The door opens inwards. The books are in front of the door. If the thief went out the door he would have to pull it open. Then the books would be off to the side.

Answer: The librarian said that the thief ran out through the door to escape. However, the door opens inwards and the fact that there are books on the floor right in front of the door. This means either the door was never opened or the librarian created the mess to fake his story.
Books are on the floor in front of the door which means they were put there after thew door was closed.
The books scattered beside the door suggest that the door was not used for escape. If the door would have been opened, the books would have been swept away
Well I wasn't sure if I was supposed to post here, but I guess the answer is that they suspected the librarian because the door that he was pointing to was shut and there are books right behind it on the ground, if the thief had escaped from that door, the books wouldn't have been exactly behind it since the door opens to the inside and not the outside.
cause the librarian said that the thief left through the door
but the door is locked ,so after the thief left the library ,he locked the door and tried to show he wasn't involved with the theft.

answer : I have noticed that the door is blocked by books from the inside. there for no way anybody would have exited the room without moving the books out of the way . kind regards
Hello all! Thanks for participation in this episode of Book of Wisdom.
The answers is:
The door of the library opens towards the inside. But as you can see there are stacks of books still lying in front of the door. No one could've opened the door without moving the stacks of books. Meaning, no one left through the door as was claimed.
