Hi,
My in-game nickname is Renah and I'm playing in server COM 6.
Regarding the task, they knew that the librarian was involved in the theft, because the books are fallen in front of the door from where the thirf escaped. If the thief had indeed left through the door, the books couldn't be there. The librarian clearly threw them on the floor to make it look like an attack.

There are books on the ground that would get pushed away from the door if somebody opened them, they were obviousely thrown down on the ground after the thief has escaped through the door, which means that this pale guy was helping the thief.

the door opens to the inside, a pile of books is blocking the door, ergo it has never opened and therefor no thief has left throught that door
When you close a door behind you you are not able to pile the mess up in the room on the other side of it. No one ran through the door.

The librarian claims that the thief ran through the door, but for that to be true the door would either need to be open, or at least have it's path unblocked so that it could be open. None of these conditions are met in the picture since the door is closed and there are plenty of books impeding the door from opening. This implies that after the book was stolen, the librarian staged a rushing thief (the mess along the shelves and on the floor would help make it believable) and then shouted for help.
I think that's the answer if I'm wrong please let me know what it was.

The door opens inwards but the books is in the way, so the librarian most be lying about the thief leaving through it, or if the thief did the librarian must have made the mess after it was closed.

If the door was opened, it would be impossible for the books to be right near it.

Hello,
The thief could not have left trough that door since the books are piled to the door on the inside. So the librarian lied that the thief left trough that door.

librarian is lying because there are books at the bottom of the door so they wouldnt be there if someone has newly escaped the door.

if the thief used the doors then how come the books near the door was open and blocking the door from the inside.

Answer: there are books on ground in the way of opening door, where the thief escaped. Therefore if thief escaped through door, then librarian must have placed the books on the ground afterwards. So librarians story is not true.
The thief and librarian must be up to something because the thief is not a regular thief. In the picture, there is a necklace which looks valuable. So if there is a thief then he must have stolen that necklace too!

The books are up against the closed door so must have been placed there by someone on this side.

The Librarians story isn't right, this is due to the fact that he states that (the Thief) "He ran out through that door on the other side of the library."
As clearly seen in the picture, the Thief couldn't have ran through the door without any aid by the librarian, due to that there are books in front of the door.
The door however can only be opened inwards as seen by the hinges on the door... Therefore the books couldn't have been there if the Thief just ran through the door.
This might then conclude that the Librarian is working with or even is the Thief himselve.
The Librarian aided the "Thief" in his escape and covered the scene afterwards.

The problem with the librarian's story is that if there was actually a thief, when he would've open the door to leave he would've moved all of the books that are on the floor near the door since it opens inward (you can tell by the fact that you can see the hinges), and so, whoever stole the book must still be inside the room and so it has to be the librarian himself.
