After leaving the lands of Rome a few months ago, saying goodbye to the last hospitable Teutonic farmers a week ago, Titus traveled further to the Northeast.
He passed through the swampy lands of Prussia, and then the horizon of the beautiful valley opened to him. A huge river flowed slowly in this valley.
Titus looked around anxiously. How will he cross the river? Still, Titus decided to descend down the valley on a natural trail.
He was right. By the river, he saw a modest-looking man in a boat.
"Man, will you help me cross this river," Titus asked.
The man looked carefully at the owner of the strange clothes. "I see that you have come from far away lands, so I will help you. But my boat is small, I can only take you and one of your items. Choose what you leave on this shore and what you take with you on the journey further.
Titus did not like that choice. He realized that this man wanted to steal the things he “left behind”. How to transport everything for him?
Between his things Titus has a dog, a cat and a bowl of Mediterranean delicacy. Cat likes to eat Mediterranean delicacy.
- The rafter allows to take together just one animal or a bowl.
- Titus can’t leave together his cat and dog on either bank of river. The cat would run away because she is afraid of a dog.
- Titus can’t leave the cat and food bowl together, as the cat would eat all food from the bowl.
How Titus must transport his animals and the bowl, that the cat wouldn’t run away and wouldn’t eat the food?
