    I haven't checked in on this game in a while. Looks like the amateur hour hype train of "Check back tomorrow for more details!" is here lol... If your shit isn't interesting, this is what you have to do to get people excited about it. If it were exciting on its own, you'd just release the details all at once. Is it that a German thing or just bad marketing?


    I mean, the new task system looks neat. Probably should've done it before the seven year mark (last major change was in 2013).

    I'll take your feedback into account.

    The same type of announcement happened for Shadow Empires, some players liked it and some didn't.

    Is it better to have it all at once later? Or to receive some information step by step? We're more than happy to discuss this if it's an issue.

    I wasn't advertising a new game, but you can call it that. There's a game out there, folks, that isn't pay-to-win and multi-accounting or tech accounts are banned immediately. Just wanted to point out that it's actually an achievable thing and not the impossible feat TG pretends it is...

    I'll take your feedback into account.

    I agree with the above. Shadow Legends information was all over the place and probably added to why the server has been unsuccessful in engaging players with region servers. The concept was hard enough to understand without posts every day.


    I get you trying to build anticipation about it but premade teams probably prefer all the information out at once so they can start planning whether they want to play and contacting their friends.


    As for Martina's comment that the test server resulting in many tribes being close then I beg her to look at the stats. Out of the top 50 settles, 47/50 were egyptian and 3/50 were Teutons. So how is this a successful run and why would you think about implementing this within another server? Even with the nerfs and Andy from Zyked made a very good point. Egyptians are still broken with early settling regarding of settlers costing more etc.

    I mean, does the world really need balanced tribes when we got Factions? Would be a shame wasting time balancing out tribes, while time can be invested in making up newer "gamemodes" instead.

    I think at this point Martina could struggle to give an identity to all of the tribes :(


    I think as it stands right now. Egyptian are Tier S+ and Teuts join the tier list on A. Huns and Gauls pretty close on B and Romans are just way off on D

    The Task system has evolved with adjustments made throughout the years. It's now changing to something different.

    TG has created a special server to test it, to enable players to share some feedback in order to create the best version possible for the Community.

    Unless you expect a game to change its features quite often, I'm not sure what you are complaining about.

    If you have ideas to reduce the "pay-to-win" factor, please don't hesitate to share. I'll be happy to pass on your feedback.

    The latest big example is Wavebuilder, TG was against it, but the Community wanted it (majority) and it went through thanks to the Ambassador program. This was something made to have closer contact with players, to know what they want, to listen to their needs, and to make things happen in their interest. A lot of things requested by ambassadors/players happened in the last two years.


    Regarding Annual Special features, some of them weren't liked by players and we have never seen them again.



    Regarding balance, don't hesitate to contact our ambassador WdwndSpecialist to share ideas and solutions if you think it's needed.

Let me tell you why. because the players who are doing ops that require same second waves will continue doing so. TG opened up the ability to do so at the cost of gold per village. So you’ve reduced the skill gap in favour of making more money from your recreational player.


    the hardcore players keep the lights on for TG but these are often the first lot of players that are effected in these circumstances. I could forward balance changes on to your guy but that would effectively be doing his job for him and I’ve done that for your CSR and RET teams for servers now helping them with the awful systems in place.


    if you don’t have a team of people who can create top 5 accounts on the servers they play on in your balance team then don’t even bother. You got suggested a lot of changes by top players on anglo regional earlier in the year and not one has been implemented.

    My sample is probably not smaller but I did not get the same impression. Wave builder allowed a lot of people to play offense. There is no skills that I admire in ability to send waves, just good comp and net, and basic knowledge.

    It is very likely that your discord of 300 is self-selected group of hardcore players which is respectable niche but it would not exist without the rest.

    Wave builder gave the ability of rec players to multi send waves, and TG will pocket the money to allow them to do so. The benefit of that belongs to TG.


    I think if you put a general poll in the discord you'll be quite surprised ;)

    I am rather hardcore one but I love wave builder. It makes sending attacks much easier for me. I am yet to see if I would love it as DC but even if I don't it has nothing to do with unfairness, the opposite.


    Travian needs more people. There are not enough people willing to play hardcore for months. Pretty simple.

    I think not all mobile recs are in the discord. Exactly it might make things easier for you but a lot of people still used scripts before hand so it permits it to be safer for them. Being DC hasn't really changed too much apart from the heaps of fakes you get off time by random players thinking they're helping.


    Travian needs more people but ahead of all things, I cannot see Wavebuilder leading the charge of change. Attacking is one part of the game after-all and 4+ waves is more advanced also.

  • I haven't looked back at this post since the last time I wrote something. But I wanted to rebut something Thomas said. There are very obvious ways to fight tech accounts. But TG isn't willing to make that leap.


    Don't allow people to use a VPN. I don't care that Carbon uses a VPN. He'll keep playing. He's addicted to this game. He won't quit until you turn it off.


    Don't allow conquering, raiding, or reinforcement interactions if two accounts have been on the same IP recently.

    (this is done by the game I'm not allowed to name but quadrupled its player base in 2020)


    When you catch someone for multi-accounting or tech abuse, ban the email address from the domain -- no second chances. Let them register with new email addresses -- you can ban those too when they cheat again.

    Lastly, maybe TG should seek some consulting. Reach out to the top players of the servers. It's hilarious you guys went to the forums to get ambassadors when you have the email addresses of every player that has ever played -- and their stats (so you'd know who was elite). Don't know what elite means? Find someone with more than 10 top robber medals in a single server -- multiple times. Find someone who ended the server as a top 10 overall attacker or defender -- multiple times. Send a freaking email to the first three players to settle each server and ask for their feedback (not in a survey -- actually have a conversation with them). This. Is. Not. Hard.


    Y'all won't do any of that, though. You'll get the most active members of the forum on a Zoom call and say, "We made a way for you to spend more gold via a wave builder! See, we fixed to the most important problem in the game by listening to our community!"

    - Currently, there are no "tech abuse" rules, so it's not possible... yet.

    - Regarding multi-accounting, what you're offering was also suggested in the past. If I remember properly, the issue was that many new players break this rule and create another account when they join the game. Should we permaban them straight away?

    What's stopping players? Mostly that they have to be a forum troll to get your attention.


    Imagine if Call of Duty removed all the guns and replaced them with slingshots. Then the elite players stopped playing. Activision says, "Well, there's clearly an Activision forum. How were we supposed to know our players wouldn't like this? They should've said something on the forums!"


    This is an obvious dodge away from what I said before, though. Why has Travian rolled out this stupid ambassadors program that's a forum popularity contest when they could've just contacted the best players privately? In what world does forum popularity/activity equate to having good feedback for this game? Who actually thought that would be helpful? The other people on this forum? lol...

    If you want to make things happen and offer solutions, you can use: suggestions and create a thread about what should be done.
