    We are preparing to perform another maintenance on the Europe30 gameworld which will happen on Friday, April 23d at 08:30 UTC+1.

    The maintenance will last for about 1 hour.


    We want to be transparent with you about the whole situation - as it affects you all - therefore this is how we are proceeding in detail.


    Why do we have regular maintenance on Europe30?

    In order to secure a more stable performance of the gameworld and avoid huge lags, we had to set up this gameworld on a temporary solution.

    This had a positive impact on performance, but the downside of this solution was that this setup does not support automatic backups.

    As a result, we have to do manual backups, which require the mentioned maintenance.


    What can happen after maintenance is performed?

    During the time the gameworld is in “maintenance mode”, none of the events are processed.

    That means that when the gameworld is back again, it needs to process all previous events, as well as all current and new events.

    This will cause event jams until everything catches up again. You might notice delays in the game, which should recover with time.


    What are we doing in the meantime?

    We keep working on improvements to increase the overall performance and this should allow us to reduce maintenance times for this gameworld.

    These changes need to be evaluated, developed and tested thoroughly.

    Right now we are also evaluating the possibility to completely move the Europe30 gameworld to a more permanent setup, which will perform just as well as the current setup.

    This would also mean that we will no longer need to put the gameworld into regular maintenance.


    Besides this, we are aware that other gameworlds are also experiencing lag issues.

    We are monitoring the situation and are working on improvements for those affected gameworlds.
