If you don't, your opponents will get an advantage.
(Imagine having missing like 400 clay, 204 wood, 522 iron, 1999 wheat I have to waste 48s of my life into open those box instead of waiting it for 15 min. My opponents will get an advantage of it)

But if you have to use it every time, then playing becomes extremely viscous and arduous.

And a note: a builded defender always can upkeep a 8k attacker army, without using gold. What do you mean under "small hammer"? In my dictionary, the "hammer" means a WW-destroyer, at least 110k.

WWK is different with hammer. WWK is at least with artifact and double barrack while hammer is just a strong force only.
I want to say that:

WWK: double barrack, stable + 50% arti
Hammer: double barrack, stable
Canon: Single barrack + stable

Technically you can build hammer without gold. Go to bonner and sim. Nice and easy.

I think they don't want to shorter the time of settle v2.
It will be 2-3 days less (2-3 days to settle in x1) if the quest still there

From your description alone, I think there is a lot of account like that.

Most of them called inactive account and usually farmed by every raider in your area.

You don't raise the starting gold for gold club. Is just that you want to Gold club more expensive(with the change of making gold club value 200 gold all the time) and to avoid a huge disturbance, the starting gold need to raise as well

Thank to this guide I can sell my cage for 1000 silver/5 cage at day 30

I see some 400 pop after 18h with 31k raid only. Insane amount of task reward. The best part is that is per village quest.
