  • I'm a Roman empire nerd so sadly I know and recognise them,

The first one is the battle of the teutoburg forest which involved the Romans and the "Teutons" (Germanic tribal people) the Teutons won and the battle took place in Osnabrück County. A very important battle because it basically started the decline and ended the expansion of Roman territory into the Germanic tribes and is arguably one of Rome's greatest defeats.

The second one is the battle of Alesia which was fought between the Romans and the Gauls. The Romans won and the location is still unsure but (copied this from Wikipedia) wikipedia says that it took place in Alise-Sainte-Reine. Another very important battle as it basically put an end to the Gauls since the Romans annexed them and it is regarded as one of Rome, and especially Julius Caesars greatest military achievements.

  • The first one might be the Battle of Cannae (during the Punic War II, 216 BCE) Throughout his many years of campaigns in the Italian peninsula, the leader of the military forces at Carthage Hannibal inflicted crushing defeat after crushing defeat on the Roman forces.

The second is a siege on a fortress maybe the The Babylon Fortress, a major military stronghold of the Byzantine Empire in Egypt, was captured by forces of the Rashidun Caliphate after a prolonged siege in 640. It was a major event during the Muslim conquest of Egypt.
